DisplayPort is the ultimate for a complete digital setup and is fast replacing standard DVI, VGA & LVDS ports in new PC’s & laptops.

Unlike previous advancements that made preceding connections redundant, DisplayPort is backward compatible and easily connects to devices with VGA, DVI or HDMI with use of the appropriate adaptor.

DisplayPort eliminates the manufacturers need for additional circuits necessary with DVI, HDMI & VGA. This allows DisplayPort to use less power, create less heat and give off less Electromagnetic (EMI) & Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) than existing ports. It increases reliability at longer lengths, offers higher data transfer rates (10.8Gbps), better performance of WiFi functions & extended battery life in laptops.

Note: DisplayPort allows easy cross connection with other DVI, HDMI & VGA devices through use of appropriate adaptors. When using these adaptors performance will be limited to that of the older connection
